HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳🥳
It’s finally time to wrap up 2022. From a year filled with AI chatbots, crypto setbacks, and scientific breakthroughs (and that’s just the last month), this year has been full of highs and lows. Today, we’re taking a break from our regularly scheduled Unicorner covers to highlight our top company covers from 2022.

Sponsored: Alts.co |
We loved covering Alts earlier this year. As newsletter owners, we can confidently say that newsletters are awesome. On top of that, the team is bringing unconventional (alternative) assets to the inboxes of everyday investors. They're increasing accessibility into spaces like private equity, real estate, and sports memorabilia. Check them out and become a smarter investor today.

#5: Sugar Living |
We’ve had our share of questionable property management, and the numbers tell us we’re not alone. Sugar gives managers tools to aid in their job, and—with features like an event calendar, a resident marketplace, and a community forum—enables meaningful community-building. Check out our cover on it below.

#4: Fable |
When trying to think about why a startup about reading clubs was so popular when so many people aren’t reading books today, it clicked for us. Everyone wants to read, but finding time can be difficult. Fable has accountability built into its platform. Moreover, the Unicorner community is one of the most dedicated and hardworking groups of…ahem…readers.

#3: ServiceUp |
The typical startup playbook takes a system that no one enjoys using and makes it enjoyable. We can’t think of a better example than getting repairs for your car. We’re really looking forward to seeing where this space goes in 2023.

#2: Bilt Rewards |
Bilt was the first company in Unicorner history that earned a double cover in our newsletter. Since our original cover, Bilt hit unicorn status and processed over $3 billion in annualized payments. It doesn’t get simpler than earning rewards for paying your rent!

#1: Rewind |
It makes sense that Rewind made the top of our list this year. It addresses one of the most common problems people have—forgetting important things. At the same time, its promises to improve user productivity are extremely exciting, and we haven’t found any other app quite like it. The company has definitely earned a spot on our list of startups to keep our eye on.
