🦄 Unicorner Startup of the Week: Whimsical

 ✍️ Notes From The Editors
We mentioned in passing that Ethan’s a big productivity nut. It comes as no surprise that a company like Whimsical came across our radar—consolidating collaboration tools into one centralized platform can save teams a ton of time. Let us know what you think!

🔮 Our Analysis
Whimsical’s approach to productivity is making many different types of tools available in one platform, meaning teams no longer have to “context switch” into another tab or sign onto another platform. When it comes to the product, Whimsical has two main selling points: collaboration and speed. It accomplishes collaboration by emphasizing familiar user-friendly features such as live cursors and comments. Its focus on speed is apparent through the many keyboard shortcuts available everywhere and the tight integration between its tools everywhere on the platform. For example, any file can be accessed from within another file by a link with a thumbnail of the page’s contents. Before its Series A, the company was able to reach millions of users bootstrapped and be profitable. With this funding, we project a good future for the company.
