Digital greeting and gift cards

Givingli is changing the way we send and receive greeting and gift cards. It offers dozens of brands of gift cards to choose from and lots of customization tools. Givingli also markets itself as a sustainable alternative to paper cards, citing that 2.5 million trees are cut down each year for greeting cards in the United States.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Our Analysis
Givingli isnโ€™t the first company to try and replace paper gift and greeting cards. It is, however, one of the first to truly leverage the advantages of a digital platform. Beyond allowing users to fully customize their greeting cards, it also offers a wide selection of gift cards to choose from (including brands like Nike, DoorDash, Sephora, and Uber). Physical gifts and cash are also options, indicating Givingli has an emphasis on flexibility. Its focus on sustainability is also very apt given the statistics: per its website, each year in the U.S., 2.5 million trees are cut down for greeting cards, and 75 million pounds of plastic go to waste on gift cards. Itโ€™ll be interesting to see whether online cards become the norm in the near future and if Givingli is leading that charge.
