🔮 Our Analysis
Republic is leading the charge to democratize investing. With an all-star team, excellent growth, and strong numbers, the future is bright for this NY/SF startup. It has innovative investment vehicles with its “Crowd SAFE” equity—an adaptation of the YC-pioneered investment that converts to equity when a predefined trigger is hit—and crypto options that put investors and startups first, ensuring that both funders and founders are treated as partners, not adversaries. Combined with great industry partnerships, it’s hard to see a future where Republic falls flat. The company isn’t complacent either, as shown with its acquisition of Fig, a video game crowdfunding platform, in 2020. CEO Kendrick Nguyen told us that in five years, Republic hopes “to grow into the go-to investment platform for everyone around the world, whether (people) come to us with $2 or $2M to back companies, people, technologies, or industries that align with their passion.”
