🔮 Our Analysis
Text expanders, which automatically replace text shortcuts with longer snippets of text, are a useful tool for increasing productivity. It’s even built into macOS and iOS. One improvement to text expanders allows the user to input variables before pasting the text content. For example, “Dear name” might become “Dear Sam” when pasting text into an email. Magical takes this a step further by enabling users of its product to infer these variables automatically using data scraped from other tabs in the browser. This type of automation enables many different teams to enhance their productivity. For example, Magical can speed up sales and marketing outreach without sacrificing personalization by automatically filling messages with data scraped from a potential client’s LinkedIn profile. This means less time spent doing manual work like copy-and-pasting and more output. We look forward to seeing the company grow as it scales to support more browsers.
