Building stronger remote teams using AI

Sike Insights is helping remote teams better understand each other. They accomplish this through Kona, an AI-powered Slack application that analyzes the language of sent messages to build “emotional profiles” of team members. That information, along with daily mood check-ins sent to team members through Kona, is compiled and sent to project managers to help them understand their team’s needs and personalities.

💼 Opportunities

🔮 Our Analysis
As a manager of a remote team, it’s hard to completely understand your team members and what they’re going through beyond their work when the majority of your communication revolves around messages and group calls. Sike Insights hopes to change that by using Kona to give managers the ability to empathize with their team members, even if they aren’t seeing them in person. According to the founders, their customers are happy: Kona boasts 100% daily team engagement and 95% user retention. Given many teams are planning on staying remote following the pandemic, Kona will likely remain useful.
